Building Evaluations

BC&E provides a wide-range of evaluation
services for buildings and other structures. Structural
investigations involve nearly all types of structural systems such
as cast-in-place, precast, pre-stressed, and post-tensioned concrete
structures, steel and wood-framed structures, and masonry
structures. Additionally, foundation problems and problems with
concrete slabs-on-grade and pavements are evaluated.
Many of these building evaluations occur
after the building has experienced some type of problem or damage,
such as from water leakage or due to exposure to the exterior
environment. The type, extent, and range of the building evaluation
is dependent on the unique set of circumstances related to the
problem or damage, as is the design of the repairs to correct those
conditions.
In certain circumstances, BC&E performs
building evaluations during the construction of new buildings and
structures, as may be deemed necessary by building owners,
designers, contractors, and lenders.
